We offer rapid turn-around COVID-19 RT-PCR testing for symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. RT-PCR tests can detect the virus before symptoms appear, and throughout the course of the infection.  If you have symptoms or known exposure, RT-PCR tests are covered by insurance and the CARES act (if uninsured). Results meet most travel and participation requirements.

Qitek Labs COVID-19 testing can determine if you have a COVID-1 infection. Our PCR COVID-19 Testing is completed by a CLIA-certified lab and is an FDA EUA-approved testing site. We utilize RT-PCR methodology for COVID-19 testing as this is considered the current gold standard among other COVID-19 tests.

FAQs

How is my sample for testing collected?

Qitek utilizes a nasal swab to collect a sample of nasal secretions. This is done by tilting your head back and inserting the swab into your nostril approximately 1 inch into the nasal passage (midway) with the most visible drainage or the nostril that is most congested if drainage is not present. The swab is rotated several times for approximately 15 seconds, removed gently, and this process is repeated on the other side.

How and when will I get results?

Results are returned within 24-48 hours of specimen collection. When your results are ready, you will receive a text message to view results in the patient portal.

Do I need an appointment or can I walk-in?

Appointments are preferred.

Do I need a referral from a medical professional?

No, you do not need a referral for testing.

How do I pay for my test?

Qitek accepts insurance, uninsured, and self-pay.

Will I receive a bill if I use insurance or if I'm uninsured?

You may receive a letter from your insurance company that is labeled “EOB” or “Explanation of Benefits”. This is NOT a bill. Insurance is simply notifying you of your benefits – you will NOT receive a bill.

How old can a patient be to get a COVID-19 test?

Patients can be of ANY age to register for COVID-19 testing. A parent or legal guardian must complete this registration for all minor patients and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to assist with swab collection if under 15 years of age.

Can I bring someone with me or should I come alone?

We prefer that each person being tested has a set appointment time.

What if I miss my appointment?

You can reschedule your appointment online free of cost up to 24 hours prior to your appointment time. If you reschedule in under 24 hours or do not show up to your testing appointment, you will be responsible for some, or all of the testing fee. Please see our “Refund Policy” below.

Refund Policy

If you are unable to keep your COVID-19 RT-PCR appointment, please adjust your appointment or call us at 888-857-4835 to let us know at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

  • Appointments canceled 12-24 hours before the scheduled testing time are subject to a 25% charge.
  • Appointments canceled less than 12 hours before the scheduled testing time are subject to a 50% charge.
  • No shows are subject to 100% charge.

Appointments booked on the same day are still subject to our cancellation policy.
